Relax and take it easy...

There is an important thing what you need to know about running.  Relaxation. For one thing, try to keep your face as relaxed as possible. It’s not easy, I know. But I’d like to share a little video with you where a few people really did try their best to be as relaxed as possible and feel as free as possible…

Enjoy!

Whoopsie

Totally and utterly in love. Walking on sunshine dancing around the room and the first thing you do when he leaves the apartment in the morning.. text your best friend to tell her all about the most ridiculous ugly feet you’ve ever seen ..
That embarrassing moment when you realize you send that text message to your new so called boyfriend…

Boring the crap out of ya...

A story about the most boring person I know.

When can you say that someone is boring. I know I can be boring. Or is that called stubborn? You know, pull a long face when you don’t feel like going out, going crazy and proper pissed. But just want to hang on the couch with a thee and biscuit. When friends tell me I’m getting old. Is that code for being boring? Ö

The only person boring enough is the guy behind the Veolia counter, selling bus tickets.
You know the feeling right, when you are in an excellent mood, whistling and smiling. You feel like saying hi to everybody, give them a hug and tell them to cheer up..
( Funny thing.. this is what I hate about happy people when I’m in that dark and twisty place..  )

I was about to buy my bus ticket when the grumpy boring man looked at me. Without actually saying the words, I just knew he was bothered with me being there. I give him my best smile, twinkle in my eyes and told the nice man..

“Constipated people don't give a crap”

Good thing I had them running shoes on..

A once in a lifetime experience

Something I shouldn’t have done..

Well I’ll keep it short and simple..  Drinking rum on a Saturday and running 6km the next Sunday. There is a lot to say, but truly, that was the most stupidest thing I’ve ever done. Fun though :)

Walkman or walk man

Do you remember?? If you have absolutely no clue what this is about.. You were probably born in the 90’s. Most likely a though crowd to please but I’m gonna try anyway.

Can you imagine what it would be like nowadays, to run with a ‘little’ walkman.  The amount of batteries in it alone will probably bring you down to your knees.  Rewind and the FF button. Record songs from the radio. No way to skip a song. The worst part.. when de tape jammed. Rewind it with a pencil. Or, if you had small tiny fingers you could rewind it yourself. Unfortunately I’ve had chubby hands since I can remember..

To be honest, I’ve never trained with a walkman on my arm. Thank heavens for the iPhone. But if I had to.. If I really had to run with a walkman, I’d probably walk man!

Like a proud Mary

I was asked to write a little story about something that I'm proud of..

Well that’s easy. I started running about 10 months ago. My first challenge was to run 5 km.
Although I should mention that my intension was to run the 10 km. It took me two weeks of training to realize that that was not going to happen.. N
o change in hell!

So I changed my goal to  5 km and started training outside as well. I even skipped my Wednesday nights of combat training, just to run. It was springtime. Beautiful weather to be outside. Some youngsters thought the same. Smoking a joint right beside the running track… It definitely took the training to a certain higher level..

But to keep a long story short, my first 5 km, it was a personal success. So proud I finished the run without even taking a break. I ran. Just like Forest did.

Change of plans

I know I promised I’d tell you a story about running and what that can do to your face..  But ey, life's tough.. just like concrete and so am I
But seriously.. school forced me..
So I’ll do my utterly best and share the runners face secret with you soon ish..

If I could ask myself seven questions… what would I want to know about me?
Apart from ‘what was I thinking’?? Or ‘why did I have to go and do that?’
But, for this school assignment I have to ask myself a few questions, which should reveal a bit more about me. So here I go.

    1.    How many blisters?
Just the one. The fucker keeps coming back on my heel.

    2.    What kind of coffee?
Senseo regular

    3.    Most embarrassing run moment?
Did I tell you about the time I fell down, in bright daylight. The moment I decided only to run in the dark. That was kind of embarrassing. The worst part was not even the whole in my pants. The laughing faces of the people behind the window. Pointing and staring. My ego felt bruised. As did my ass.

    4.    Last time you had to run to the toilet
I believe the word food poisoning covers the load..

For the next questions I believe a picture will say more then a 1000 words..

    5.   Who would you like to run into?

  1.  Who would you run from?

   7.   How not to wear your hair

knock knock! Who's there?

Well, as we are starting to get to know one another, I might just reveal a little bit more about myself..
The reason I started running is not only because a love the feeling and I got challenged by a friend. To be honest, I love to surprise people. The mouth stumbling kind of surprise.
The Oh-my-god-I–can’t-believe-you-just-said-did-that kind of surprise.

Just like the time I took the job offer in Dublin and later the one in Manchester. But the big shock came when I announced I’d be moving to Kuala Lumpur. Working in Cyberjaya. I just love how that sounds.. Cyberjaya. Like I was working in cyberspace..
While the fun lasted, I missed home. So I moved back.
I worked for a bit, the crisis came and I quit my job to go back to school again.. That at least must’ve dropped a jaw or two, considering I'm 28. Sometimes I feel like a kinder surprise toy egg.

Speaking of chocolate.. I love to bake! But you know what they say about eating chocolate: a moment on the lips, forever on the hips. Good thing I love sharing then. Not just food, but you know, feelings, good music anything that’s on my mind. My lovely rabbits or my new profound project; Twilight.

Anyway, now you know a little bit more about me, feel free to share a bit about yourself as well.
Next time I’ll be sharing a little inside info about running and what the hell that can do to you face…

It was lovely to run into you again!
